In May we welcomed Jane from Hilary Jane’s Patchwork and Quilting. Jane told us about her quilting journey from being a “finisher” for others to now designing, making, and teaching. She showed us some beautiful examples of her work and talked about her methods, love of “slow stitching” and how her quilts are designed to tell a story.
The following day some of our members attended a workshop run by Jane, in which she taught us to create our own journal quilts. She talked us through composition and style and demonstrated several methods and stitches. A lovely day of slow stitching was had by all as we told our own stories through quilting.
