It has been a busy start to the year, especially with our very successful quilt show.  Prior to that, at our January meeting, we were visited by Nicole Whayman, who gave us a talk entitled ‘Nature Speaks’.  Nicole talked us through some of her dyeing processes and showed us a variety of her work, some of which can be seen below.

February was taken up with preparing for our Exhibition of Quilts.  In March we were entertained by Andy, from Crafty UK.  Andy showed us a selection of the templates available on their website and displayed completed quilts to show what can be achieved by using them.  Needless to say, quite a few members purchased items to help with their projects!

In April we held our AGM.  Representatives from our quilt show charities came to tell us more about their organisations, the Woolverstone Unit at Ipswich Hospital, and Woodbridge Community First Responders.  This was followed by the Chair’s and Treasurer’s reports which were each adopted.  The committee as it stands was voted back in for the following year.  We have a full programme of sewing days and monthly evening meetings until the end of 2026 and look forward to another successful year.
